Legal Question in Business Law in Kentucky
Limited Liability Co
I live in Louisville, KY.
I want to start a service business for residential and commercial. No employees, just me. Should I set up as an LLC or a proprietorship?
The service cleans odors from the air by recirculating air through an ozone machine.

Re: Limited Liability Co
I recommend an LLC. A sole proprietorship offers no liability protection and no protection from creditors should things go badly. With an LLC, you can lease equipment through the LLC and then you are not personally on the hook. Also, it provides greater personal liability protection if you get sued.
