Legal Question in Business Law in Kentucky

Online Purchasing

I purchased an item on a website and received a email confirming the purchase. The following day I was contactedd by the company and told the price on their website was wrong and offered to sell to me at the higher price if I wanted it. Does the email confirmation estabish a contract? The email says the following: Your order confirmation number and the details of your order are listed below. Soon you will be receiving information from your assigned sales representative regarding the shipping of your order.

Did they violate a contract? Do I have any legal recourse to force the sale or sue for damages if I am required to purchase somewhere else?

Thanks.

Re: Online Purchasing

You will need to check the terms of conditions of their website to see if they have the right to correct mistakes; also, whether there is a dsipute resolution sytem in place that you would be required to use.
