My estranged husband keeps threatening me to sign the divorce papers he drew up that involve getting money including a settlement I have coming to me. I don't want to sign anything, but I want a divorce. He left me and my child to live with a women he was seeing while we were married. He abandonded us and left us holding all the bills to be with this new lady.

It would be a big mistake for you to sign any divorce papers without getting competent legal advice first. You have certain legally defined property rights, and may have rights to maintenance and child support. You are well advised to seek the services of an attorney specializing in family law matters.
