Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Kentucky
Can I take legal action I can take
I was sent to Green River Boys Camp a juvenile treatment center in Kentucky in 1974 where I was forced to torture other inmates and other inmates were forced to torture me. In 1995 the U.S. Department of Justice took action against juvenile treatment centers in Kentucky, and the Louisville Courier Journal investigated and found that Social Services new of the abuse and did little or nothing about it. I am just now starting to realize the devastating effects this has had on my life. Giving the time that has elapsed is there any legal action I can take. You can find information on this, as well as my story, by searching the web for ''Green River Boys Camp'' Thank you --name removed--Crittendon

Statute of Limitations tolled by youth and mental disability
I do not practice in KY, however in most jurisdictions the statute of limitations is tolled by minority and mental disability.
Therefore depending among other things, on your age when it happened and KY law on the
subject, you may still be able to bring an action. Consult an attorney.
