Re: 21

There is no law against dating at any age, but if what you mean by "date" is to engage in sexual intercourse, then see Section 510.060 of the Kentucky Revised Statutes (Rape in the third degree), available at http://www.lrc.ky.gov/krs/510%2D00/060.pdf. Specifically, one portion relevant to your question reads, in part:

(1) A person is guilty of rape in the third degree when:

(b) Being twenty-one (21) years old or more, he or she engages in sexual

intercourse with another person less than sixteen (16) years old;

(2) Rape in the third degree is a Class D felony.

Effective: July 12, 2006

The entire Chapter is at http://www.lrc.ky.gov/krs/510%2D00/chapter.htm.

If you have any doubts, just ask your local librarian to direct you to the copy of the statuts containing this and related laws, or touch base with a family law or criminal attorney licensed to practice in Kentucky.

Keep in mind that I am not not your attorney and I am not offering you any legal advice -- I am just directing you to where you might find answers.
