Lawyer Expense
If you sue someone for Money owed to you from a contract on a house, can you sue for Legal fees? I was told no by my lawyer.

There is a difference between "can you" and "will it succeed". In a breach of contract suit, you can ask for an award of attorney fees in your complaint. Typically, you have to show more than just breach of contract to recover attorney fees though - such as bad faith, fraud, etc.
