Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kentucky

boyfriend in jail right now 5/15/09.. HELP this is a HUGE CASE in KY
My boyfriend is in jail once again. He is a very good person who got caught up in the wrong things. He plays basketball and had schollarship offers from all the top ranked colleges. He had committed to go to Indiana when he was a junior in HS. Everyone in Kentucky knows about him. The first time he went to jail was because he was found with crack cocain on school grounds. after a year or so the judge decides to give him 2 months in jail and 30 hours of community service. He had a really good lawyer. This time he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He was FINALLY leaving for school, when 2 days before he is found in a house with a gun. but this is the story behing that...
He told me that his friend was shooting the gun in the neighboor while they were driving and my boyfriend got pissed because he didnt know he had the gun. so he pulled him back and told him to stop. people reported that they heard gun shots and got the plates of the car. The police traced the car back to a house and went inside and told them all to get on the floor. They lifted up the couch where they found it and arrested my boyfriend for gun charges. He was not the only one in the house there were 2 others and it wasnt even his house.. what can we do??
