Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kentucky
I've been charged with theft by unlawful taking (shoplifting). The amount was of $301.00, which is a misdominer, and all items were recovered without damage. The store charged me $100 fine and court is tomorrow. Do I pleed guilty or try to get some sort of deal without having a lawyer? what should I say, do?

Without knowing any of the circumstances surrounding your arrest, the evidence they have on you, etc., I cannot possibly advise you whether or not to plead guilty or if you have a viable defense. If you have no defense, but this is your first offense, you might be elligible for diversion, which is certainly better than a guilty plea.
I recommend seeking the counsel of a criminal defense attorney practicing in that jurisdiction who can advise you of your rights, your options and help you weigh those options.
