Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kentucky

Child in a Chase.

A 9 year old kid went to stay the night with some of his older friends, the driver was almost where they were going but then the cops seen there car and started after them, there was 2 other people in the car besides the child, one 19 and the other 15, they ran from the police, when the police caught them the driver ramed the police car and then they ran, the 9 year old child being the only one left in the car scared, the police question him.. they took the 19 year old driver to jail, and want to take the 15 year old to court on all the same accounts.. can they pressure the 9 year old into talking when he was very much under pressure and very scared? he cant even keep a stright story.. would him being tromitized stand up in court?

The child was a witness to a crime, so the authorities could request he testify. However, the child's being unable to correctly state what he witnessed due to trauma may affect his credibility.
