Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kentucky

A class D felony charge

I was caught stealing 566 dollars worth of clothing from a department store. I was caught on video tape and I signed a confession. My next court appearence is on September 14th and I need to know if I still can obtain an attourney. I need help with this situation and I am wondering if there is anyway I will not have serve jail time.

Yes you can still get an attorney. Assuming there were no constitutional

violations in obtaining your confession, the attorney's primary role would

likely be to reduce or eliminate the possibility of your doing any time

in custody.

if you are still interested in assistance, please e-mail me at [email protected]. generally, if you signed a confession and they have you on videotape, you will have a hard time avoidign a conviction, but may be able to avoid jail by agreeing to a different outcome for sentencing (fine, restitution, etc.)
