Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kentucky

I created an identity on facebook/yahoo and started talking to a guy there. We fell in love, but my true identity was never revealed to him or to his family. Last week, the guy took his own life and now the family has found out that I'm not who I say I am and want to sue me for wrongful death and fraud. Can they do that? How much trouble am I in? I am scared for my own family.

Unless you committed some sort of harassment that goaded him into committing suicide, then they have no legal basis to sue you. The cases out there in other states have all concerned bullying and harassment. Being in a less-than-honest relationship with someone isn't a crime or a tort, unless you used it to get money or commit some other wrongdoing. Likely they're just angry and wanting someone to blame for their loss. However, if you really cared for this person, the loss is yours too.
