Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kentucky
What does a criminal attorney do?
When I pay a criminal attorney a flat fee for a drug-related case, what should I expect him to do? I know he'll appear in court and file legal papers. But, if the judge says to go find a drug treatment center, is this the kind of thing I should expect the lawyer to do and/or help with?

Re: What does a criminal attorney do?
I generally leave that up to the client because he's the one who's going to have to go there. He's the one who knows the answers to all the application questions, etc. I provide some assistance, but a person going to treatment needs to step up and take responsibility for getting there.
