Custodail Interference in KY
My girlfriends mother doesnt like me. She hasnt since she found out that I am white (my girlfriend is black). But anyway, about a year ago, right before I turned 18, she caught us together and called the police and they let me go with a warning saying that me seein her daughter without her concent is custodial interference. We still saw each other but just had to be really careful not to be seen by her mother and hopefully just hold it out until she turned 18. Well about two weeks ago she found out we were still dating and she called the police again. Once again I was given a warning. My girlfriend and I decided i should stay with my family in Michigan the remaining days until she turns 18 (now 158). So Ive been here for about a week and a half and we just found out today she is pregnant. What can hapen to me? My mother approves of our relationship and she will support us as will the rest of my family so Im not concerned anout having the child and caring for it. My concern is that I want to be there for my pregnant gilfriend and future wife and i do not want to be in jail while she is carrying our child.

Re: Custodial Interference in KY
1. It is a bad idea to rely on police officers for legal advice.
2. The age of consent in Kentucky is 16 (meaning that a 17 year old can lawfully consent to having sexual relations).
