Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kentucky
What is a defense to an unjust speeding ticket?
I received a speeding ticket by a KY State Trooper
who claims that he clocked me by moving radar at
100mph in a 65mph speed zone. This occurred during a holiday weekend in heavy traffic and I feel that I was cited due to police equipment (radar) error. What defense do I have against this ticket?

Re: Defense to an unjust speeding ticket?
A variety of defenses are theoretically possible --
your message does not provide enough detail to enumerate
them. For example, why do you feel that the radar
equipment erred? Do you know what kind was used?
Did the officer make any comments about his observation
of your car?
That said, in most Kentucky counties, you can probably
work out a deal which saves your license (unless you
already have a substantial number of points against the
license).
