Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kentucky
expedition of residual probation
I have successfully completed 31/2 years of the 5 years of probation I received for felony drug charge, first and only offense. I am trained as a RN and surrendered my license upon conviction. I want to reinstate my license so I can provide for my family. I want to explore the possibility of having this felony expunged from my record, but this requires the completion of probation. Is there a way to expedite the remainder of my probation so I can join the human race once again? Please provide me with this info if at all possible!

Re: expedition of residual probation
You can ask the court that placed you on probation. Some Judges may feel that they have lost jurisdiction but that is the only way. If your case were extraordinary enough, a Judge may listen to you. That is not to say that he will feel that he can do it and certainly will not consider it in most cases if the Commonwealth's Attorney objects.
