federal over sentencing motion
my husband is an inmate in the mid atlantic region at usp big sandy. he is trying to file an over sentencing motion and we r not really sure how to get started or if we need a lawyer or can we do this by ourselves?

It sounds like you are asking how to file a motion for reduction of sentence. Most likely, that would be because your husband was sentenced on a crack cocaine case when the guidelines were mandatory, but now he might be eligible for a sentence reduction.
