Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kentucky
Felony case dismissed without prejudice
I had charges pressed against me that were sent from the lower to the higher courts and no indictment was issued for about 18 months. I recently received papers in the mail stating that it had been dismissed without prejudice.
Is this a final judgment, or can the charges still be pressed later?

They can be filed again. However, it may not be very likely.
