Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kentucky

flagrant non support

I served 1 yr on a 4 yr non support charge, I did not owe the state or county anything, in class D facility, had to work 5 days a week, (under threat of being moved back to county side of correction center. I worked with county maintanence, doing construction ( am electrician ) building and maintaining county property. This only benefitted the county/ state, and not my children. I was paid 63 cents per day. is there a possibility of motioning that , my time normally 40 - 50 dollars per hour, which I would have earned out of prison on same jobs be recomped or credited towards my case. the only party to benefit, was state and county. Theres more to this story too lengthy. Also, I served 1 yr, does that reduce my arearrages by 1/4, as I paid 1/4 of my '' debt to society''

Re: flagrant non support

You do not get credit against your child support for any time served in jail. In fact, support continues to run and accumulate (if not paid) while a person is in jail.
