i was out hunting on nov 5 2011 i didnt know it was a quota hunt day so the game warden stoped me gave me a ticket for not having hunter orange on. not for being out on a quota hunt day..when they have qouta hunts you have to be drawn for them to be able to hunt and if you are out hunting you need to wear hunters orange so you dont get shot anyway , so i went to pay the fine yesterday i got to the court house they looked in the book and couldnt find a fine for not wearing hunters orange ? so my court date is the 18 of nov i dont know what to do .funny thing is it said payable on the ticket and they told me id still have to pay court cost..i said im not going to court im paying it.. they told it me doesnt matter ..i said to myself what a crock of crap. so if their is no fine in the books what can they do to me? thanks for the time and effort guys . You should call the county attorney instead and talk to them about it. They might even be willing to dismiss it.

You always pay court costs with any violation. It's the court costs that are expensive, not the citation. For instance, if you get a speeding ticket for going 10 over, the citation is like $25. But your court costs are $100-$200 depending on the county. That's how the court gets revenue. (I just consider it a speeding tax.)
