Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kentucky
If Jane puts an EPO out on John, then Jane contacts John by calling him serveral times & even comes to John's residence & asks John to come to hers (after the EPO has been issued) but then gets in a fight with John again & has John arrested for violation of his EPO-wouldn't Jane's actions make said EPO ineffective? Does John have a case?

Jane's actions would not excuse John of violating the EPO, which he has done. However, the Court could also find Jane in contempt of its order. Will it? Depends on the Judge and the facts involved.
Although the Court may be lenient on him, John should have stayed away from Jane if he wanted to stay out of jail.
