Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kentucky
In Kentucky, if there was a second degree rape crime committed how much time can pass before the criminal can not be convicted?
When I was thirteen through fifteen I had sex with my boyfriend who was ages eighteen through twenty. My mother never pressed charges but I fear she will now that we are together and it's legal, because she doesn't like him. Two years has passed since we last had sex illegally, can she press charges at anytime?
Also, we will be getting married within the next few months. After we are married can she press charges?
Thank you.

Rape in the second degree is a Class C felony in Kentucky. Class C felonies carry sentences from between 5 to 10 years in prison. As a felony, there is no statue of limitations to bring charges.
