Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kentucky

legal advice

shooting happened the det. asked me to come in i did asked me if i did it i said no bec. i didnt he said he had 2 wit. i am a convicted fel. they said they could charge me with a few things that could face up to 35 yrs. if i didnt tell him the truth in 24 hrs. but i did they have nothing else but the 2 wit. what could happen i told them my side and went to talk to them on my own i have nothing to hide but now they said they throw charges at me. What can happen and what do i do?No charges have been filed but they said they were going to turn it over to the commenwealth.

First, NEVER go speak to the police without an attorney. You can never talk yourself out of being charged, you can only talk yourself into it. They are probably going to charge you and present the case to the Grand Jury. They were probably going to do it even without your statement. You should start trying to find an attorney who is willing to work very hard on your case.
