Medical Provider Billing Fraud
If someone has noticed that a Medical Provider has been posting erroneous charges to pt.s bills who would they contact first( a lawyer or FBI etc) and could they benefit from being an informant that could possibly return thousands of dollars back to ins. co.s , individuals etc.... Thanks

If a medical provider is defrauding the federal government (through Medicare, for example), a "whistle blower" can bring an action
under the False Claims Act against the provider. This action has a variety of important procedural hurdles, but can result in the
whistleblower recovering a portion of the money the medical provider is ordered to pay the government.
