Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kentucky
Misdemeanor theft charged wrong
My fiance was charged with what should have been 9 misdemeanor theft by deception cahrges and the investigating detective took 3 of them and combined them together to make it a felony theft by unlawful taking charge. How can this be done when all of the incidents occured on seperate days and nothing was over the amount of $300 in one day?

It sounds like she has a decent defense to the felony charge (ie: to have it knocked down to a misdemeanor). Get an attorney to file the appropriate motions and do the appropriate discovery and negotiations with the prosecutor.
