Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kentucky
pleding guilty
in the lower of the two county courts (district) i think does this court have to except your guilty plea went asked if you pled guilty or not guilty or can thay say no you (me) has to plea not guilty and send it to the upstairs court (circuit) in a felony case? can you help me thanks

You cannot plead guilty to a felony in district court in Kentucky. If the Commonwealth will not agree to amend the charge to a misdemeanor, the matter will be sent to the grand jury for consideration of a felony indictment (which would be heard in circuit court).
