Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kentucky
Preliminary Hearings
Is there a limitation on the number of preliminary hearings a person can be made to attend? My husband went to six different ones, then missed the seventh and was arrested.

Re: Preliminary Hearings
There is normally one preliminary and then the case is either dismissed or bound over to the Grand Jury to see if an indictment is warranted. There are certain time limits in which they must be held unless the time is waived by the defendant. For various reasons, preliminaries are postponed by the parties involved. Speak to your attorney. He/she can explain it. By the way, if you are supposed to be in court-BE THERE. By failing to appear, he has created another problem.
