Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kentucky

I was recently on Family Watchdog.us and discovered that my boss from work was a registered sex offender. I have worked for this man for almost two years now and knew nothing about it. I have spent time around this person both at work and off work, yet I knew nothing about his past history. Is it legal for an employer to not inform their employees if they work for a registered sex offender? Also, I have, on many different occasions, spent time with him at his house and various other places outside of work. Is it legal for him not to tell me if he is a registered sex offender when I am at his house? The charges listed on the website say Sodomy in the Third Degree.

There is no law that requires that sex offenders disclose their status to everyone they meet, workplace or otherwise. They are only required to register as sex offenders, their status is made public, and they can't work with children or live within a certain distance from a school.

Considering the charge... If it's any consolation, unless you're underage, he probably isn't a threat to you.
