Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kentucky
Reduced Federal time
Is there any truth to the reduction of federal time from 85% to 65%? Is there any documents I can research, or is there a bill I can look up about this. I know someone who is a first time offender epriod, never did any jail time, and is in Fed prison for a non violent crime. I Have heard a lot and lawyers even mentioned this new time spent is to come to light this year because of new congress and trying to save on economy budget. I Would love to research or get a definite answer about this or check the proposal or bill. Thanks!

NO. The same rumor goes around every few months. There is no bill considered to have a chance of passage that would make that change.
It ought to change, but do not believe it until a President signs a bill...
