Sex Offender Listing Removal

Hello, My name is--name removed--and I live in Louisville,Ky...In Aug of 1996, I pleaded guilty to a Rape 3 charge, when I was 21 and had sex with a 14 year old female. She was consentiual, but in KY, she wasnt at legal age to consent, so it was considered RAPR(No Force)..I agreed to be on the sex offender registery for 10 years and to be put on probabtion for 5..Well last week, my 10 years was up from having my pic/info on the website..I called to have it removed, and they told me my 10 years didnt start until after I was off probabtion..I dont agree with this, and dont believe I agreed to this. If that is the case, I would be on there for 15 years, not 10! Also, why was my pic on there the wholw time I was on probabtion if that is the case? I have tried getting ahold of my attorney who represented me, but have been unsuccessful. Is there a way I can find the papers I signed? Is there a legal data base somewhere I can go view the papers. I have been humalited for 10 years, and I did my punihment, so let me be normal again.

The first place to go for the records is the Circuit Clerk's office in the county in which you were prosecuted. In your case, you need to go to the Judicial Center at 7th and Jefferson, go to the second floor, and to the Criminal Division of the Circuit Clerk's office. There is a good chance your records are in archives, but the people at the clerk's office should be able to help you order them from storage.
