Re: Theft by unlawful taking
Theft by unlawful taking less than $300 (TBUT<$300) is a violation of KRS 514.030, a class A misdemeanor in Kentucky. This carries with it a fine of up to $500, up to a year of incarceration, and possible restitution.
The fact that this is your second offense could affect the outcome of plea negotiations and possible sentence.
It appears that you were charged with this in Fayette County. Please contact my office should you decide to schedule a consultation.
