Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kentucky
transporting juvenile across state lines
I was recently charged with transporting a juvenile across state lines. I am 17 and I live in Caldwell County Ky. The person I was transporting was my girlfriend, 16, from Obion County Tenn. The reason for transporting her was to get her out of her house. She lives in a bad home. She asked me to pick her up, And went willingfully. One important bit of info is that I WAS NOT the individual that drove her from Ky to Tenn. It was my friend, 17, also from caldwell county. I was just there for the ride. I did help her with her bags as she passed them through the window but I DID NOT drive her across the state line. After the police had contacted me I co-operated and informed them on her location.
What legal penalties am I facing?

It's difficult to say without knowing the EXACT charge you've been charged with. Also are you going to be sent to adult court or juvenile?
