after reading other posts on your site, i started to wonder are we in our best interest to cooperate with the prosecution in my wifes drug charge

A decision to cooperate with law enforcement on a pending investigation in which you (or a family member) is a target should ONLY be made with the advice and assistance of experienced counsel. Unfortunately, many times the officers/agents make promises that they cannot keep (because they do not have the final say on how things happen).

The wisdom of cooperating with the prosecution depends upon a great number of factors, including the amount and quality of evidence of guilt, whether a formal grant of immunity or leniency has been approved by the Court, and whether such cooperation may further endanger the defendant.
