Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kentucky
Writing stolen checks that belong to others.
Some personal checks were found, and were used in local stores. Video cameras were in the stores at the time the checks were written. The State police have contacted the person who wrote one of the checks and this person wrote a statement to the police admitting it was him and his wife.
The police have made no positive ID on him or his wife, or any of the others involved via the cameras. What is the process that occurs when something like this happens?

Re: Writing stolen checks that belong to others.
It appears that there is an ongoing investigation by the police. The writer of the check who has confessed is going to be charged with a felony. From the question others may be. The writer needs to consult an attorney.
