Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kentucky
my X-wife is trying to have my flagrant non support charges dropped, but the division of child support told her that she would need to contact the commonwealth of Ky's attorney but most likely the would not drop the charge is there anything her and I can legally do ?

I would start by paying your child support. If you make a good faith effort to pay, even if you are behind, they will generally have mercy on you. The judges and prosecutors know these are tough economic times, but they have been pretty hard on those who aren't paying anything. Particularly if your ex is drawing government benefits, and the child has a medical card, they have an interest in prosecuting you. So, work out a payment plan, and you won't go to jail.
