Do my rights have to be read when arrested and don't I have to know what I'm bei
On Sept.4,2001 I got pulled over when I wasn't doing anything illegal to get pulled over for then after checking my tags,insurance,and licesenes the cop asked me to step out of the vehicle he gave me sobrity test and told me I passed them and my friend with me heard him say I passed them then I had to take a B.A. test and the cop said it showed I had smoked marijuana 45 minutes to a hour of being pulled over so he put me in the cop car and took me to jail and I didn't have my rights read to me nor did I know what I was even being charged with until the next day when I got out of jail and on the police report it said I had failed the test and that I was weaving and that I didn't have my seat belt on which was not true
and said my truck had a strong odor of pot and when my parents came and picked my truck up about 10 minutes later they didn't smell anything even though the windows were rolled up and if it did smell like pot it still would have when they got there. But anyways what should I do because it's my word against a cop and whp do you think they will believe?
