My uncle claims to have a Dual Power of Attorney. He went to the bank and was told it was no good. He then went to the courthouse. Does a PoA have to be registered at the courthouse? He already gave the documents to the hospital and they seem to have accepted it.

There may not be specific language in it relating to financial decisionmaking. Ask the bank what the problem is and get a new POA executed that includes that language.
