Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

Alimony Reduction

At our divorce, I made 2/3 of our total income, and maintenance was awarded to my ex on that basis. Now, our situations are changed and our incomes are equal, or hers is greater. Is this sufficient reason to ask for a reduction or termination of maintenance ? No children are involved.

Re: Alimony Reduction

The final judgment in the case will probably give you some idea of how to proceed. Normally, substantial change in circumstances is a reason to ask for a change, but again, the way and the reason the maintenence was determined and awarded was a is a factor in the decision. This requires a face to face consultation with counsel who can go over the documents and facts.
