amending divorce decree

I didn't get my maiden name restored into my divorce decree and was told I need to ammend it. How do I go about amending my divore decree?

Re: amending divorce decree

While you can ask to have your divorce decree amended to restore your maiden name, it would be much simpler to file a petition for a name change in District Court. This is probably a lot cheaper too. The circuit court where your divorce was granted might have a problem with opening a divorce proceeding although most do for this purpose. Still, the District Court petition is quicker and cheaper.
