Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

I was award 248.50 per month child support. However, I did not disclose the full amount I make from side cleaning jobs. The judge listed me at making 10 hour at 40 hours per week. That is way more than I actually make. The ex interrogated our daughter and found out that I have cleaning jobs. He filed a contempt and still hasn't paid August child support. My court date is Sept 3. The ex and I were both told by the judge ....Do not let me catch you back in my court room or heaven help you both.

Not entirely sure where the question is, but my advice in general to clients is that honesty is the best policy.

The judge imputed income to you that he or she thought you could make. You might have been better off if you had just been up front about how much you actually worked and how much you actually made.

Now, you are faced with the dilemma of compounding the problem by maintaining the lie or fessing up now and getting it out of the way. If you retain a lawyer and tell them all this, they will be bound by ethics rules to either make the court aware or withdraw as counsel.
