Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky
My brother has had a child with his first wife and now they are divorced. My brother is now marred to another woman and seems to want nothing to do with his daughter. He never picks her up and my mom is always watcher her on the days my brother is supose to have her. My mom wants to be in the childs life but the mother of the child ( my brother first wife) wont let my mom have her unless my brother picks her up. My question is if there are any ways that my mom ( the grandparent) could get visitation rights. We live in Kentucky.
Also I know my brother loves his daughter. I think his new wife wants him to leave his past behind him and start a new one with her.

Yes, there is a statute in Kentucky that gives grandparents standing to pursue visitation through the courts. It is not an automatic things that she will win, but at least she has the right to let the judge decide if it is in the child's best interest.
