Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

child custody

my ex-husband is in jail for many criminal charges and i hope he's there forever, the last charges are for stalking (me)and breaking a DVO that i have on him, and domestic violence abuse to me and our child for years, is it possible for me to go back to court and get sole custody of our son right now and/or supervised visitation when he ever gets out of jail?

Re: child custody

Seek the advice of local counsel. You do not say whether or not that you are divorced from him. If you are divorced, you just need to seek an order suspending visitation rights and I think that most jurisdictions would favorably consider the matter. There are more facts that I would need to know before I could advise you fully. That is why you need to physically speak to local counsel so that he/she can ask the proper questions.
