Re: child support and visitation

It is not possible to give you a clear legal answer to your inquiry without a more detailed evaluation of the facts of your case. Several questions are presented:

1. Did you admit to paternity, or did you get a DNA test with a positive match?

2. If you are the natural father of the child, you have reasonable visitation rights. Are you accused of some sort of behavior which would endanger the child?

3. Returning to court to assert your visitation rights should not affect your 5 year probated sentence.

4. Was your 5 year probated sentence the result of a charge of domestic violence? Did you enter a guilty plea? Did your plea involve any promise to refrain from visitation with your child?
