college tuition responsibility

If it is written in your divorce papers one person pays for college tuition, is there a way to have it changed so both parties split the tuition?

Since this is akin to extended child support and since it is not something that is required by law, then it should be modifiable. You would have to show a change in economic circumstances to get the judge to sympathize with you plight.
