When someone has a no contact order on you is that the same as an EPO ?

It depends - if the "no contact order" is part of a Domestic Violence Order, then yes, it is the same. If it is issued from a different proceeding, such as a divorce action, then no, it is not the same. A no contact order in a non-domestic violence proceeding does not cause police to automatically pick up the offending party like a Domestic Violence Order allows. However, it does still allow you to file a motion to hold the offending party in contempt if they violate it.
