This is most likely what many judges refer to as a pre-trial conference. If so, it will most likely consist of the judge talking through what issues are resolved, what can be mediated and what, if any, must go to a trial. If there is going to be a trial, then it also takes care of matters like outstanding discovery, how long a hearing will be needed and other scheduling matters.
