Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky
Custody
We have a Shared parenting order that states ''Child will primarily reside with the Dad... when mom is excercising visitation, child shall reside with her. Parties shall have joint legal custody.
We mutually agree that the child should go back to mom. Can we legally do this without changing the order, and can mom enroll child in school on the current order. We both prefer not to go back to court. If we have to change the order how can it be worded so that we have the freedom to make decisions without court envolvement. Thank you!

Re: Custody
It is best to have this filed with the court, but you should not have to "go back" to court. It would be best to draw up an Agreed Order that you both sign and submit to the court for the Judge to sign off on.
Based on what you just said, you should be okay with even doing that as long as child support is not an issue and as long as the school does not balk.
