Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

Do I have to allow my daughter to visit her father who is living in another country as part of the visitation? I do not feel safe with her being in a foreign country. I'm sure it doesn't matter if I cannot afford to fly there or fly with her back. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Timesharing with a parent who lives in a foreign country is very much determined by the specific facts in any given case. The first thing for you to do, if nothing has been filed in a court yet, is to be the first to file something to establish your home court as having jurisdiction. If there is already something pending in court, then you just need to let the judge decide how visits occur and let him or her know your concerns. Until a court order is issued, you are not required to send your child out of the country.
