If DCFS was to take my children away, does their grandparents have the right to take them instead of them going to a foster home?

The court prefers relative placement to foster care. Mention it to your Cabinet worker, your attorney, and have the grandparents in question attend the removal hearing and ask for temporary custody if it comes to that.
