Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

Defacto custodian to step in

I have been divorced for three years now, and my ex husband recieved physical custody of our son, but we both have joint. Since then I have not seen my son much becuase they my ex and his family would not allow me to. I also have not paid child support because they havent let me see my son. Recently I found out that my ex(who was physically and emotionally abusive to me) did the same thing to another girl and now has a child with her. This exgirlfriend and I have become friends and I have found out the bad stuff my exhusband was up to. Hes been arrested, he lives with a stripper, and doesn't take care of both of children. Also my exhusbands parents are trying to become defacto custodian, even though their son lived with them through July of this year and in KY it has to be for a period of one year or more becuase our son is 4. I am remarried, almost 2 years, my husband has a good job, we have a 2 month old baby, and we own home with a bedroom waiting for my son. Do I have any chance of re-establishing visititation and eventually gain physical custody of my son?

Yes you have a chance. A lawyer can certainly get you visitation, and possibly custody, unless there is more to the story that I can't know about.
