Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

divorce

has there been a case were a judge has denied a divorce if one person proves marriage is not irretrievably broken and that the spouse that filed is unsure they want it either but will not admit to judge because of the embarrassment of acting so prematurely in filing for divorce in the first place have a recording of filing spouse asking what he can do to stop divorce and asking to go to counseling

Re: divorce

Has there been a case like that? Maybe, but only appeal decisions are published and searchable.

I'm afraid that having a recording of your spouse asking that won't stop the divorce. The only thing that will ultimately stop it is if your spouse tells the judge he doesn't want to proceed any further and ask the case to be dismissed.

He can also just let the petition sit in court and not make any motions to move it along if he wants to go to counseling and see if it can work out. You are still married even with the petition filed.
